My art piece “Poppy Anemone ” is a painting of a photo I took at the Getty Museum garden in Los Angeles. While there, I was overjoyed to have the privilege of seeing “The Irises” by Vincent Van Gogh. I loved every aspect of “The Irises” but I specifically was inspired by the colors Van Gogh used, so I chose to paint my picture with similar colors. This painting is special for me because it reminds me of my trip to southern California, the Getty Museum, and the beautiful art I got to see.
