Summary
The workshop will first discuss how the classical Trivium of grammar, dialectic, and rhetoric fits nicely into a biblical perspective of how we think. Secondly, the workshop will investigate ways in which the Trivium can be applied to the chemistry classroom. In this, the student first masters the content “puzzle pieces” of chemistry before becoming skilled in how they work (how they fit) and how to apply them to a given situation. This workshop will be helpful for all rhetoric-level science teachers.
