2006 Workshop Talk | 0:52:58 | 7-12, Math
Summary
If we want our high school students to learn mathematics deeply, we need to change the way we teach them. Rather than just making them memorize methods, learn definitions, and practice the procedures taught in the text, our older students need to be developing advanced procedures, solving challenging problems, and learning how to invent their own problem-solving methods.
