2016 Foundations Talk | 1:01:14 | All Grade Levels, Bible & Theology
Summary
Theologians rightly identify the Bible as the principium cognoscendi, the foundation of knowledge. That label rightly applies not only to ScriptureÍs content but also to its very structure. As Christian educators seeking a pattern by which to train the next generation in knowledge, understanding, and wisdom, we need look no further than the pattern with which our covenant Lord has already gifted us: law, prophets, and writings, or covenant foundation, covenant history, and covenant life. Understanding God’s threefold method of teaching will enrich both our implementation of the trivium in our classrooms and our love for His word in our lives.
