Summary
This workshop will address classroom organization in the grammar school and will primarily benefit the new teacher in grades 1–5. The importance of a well-ordered classroom and steps to achieving beauty and efficiency will be discussed. The organization of teacher materials, classroom space, and student curriculum and supplies will be examined. Some helpful time management tips will also be reviewed. Make your classroom a joyful, productive, and beautiful “well-oiled machine.”
Speaker
Donna Taylor is a third-grade teacher at Veritas Academy in Savannah, GA. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and has been teaching in classical schools for 10 years. Donna is married to Scott Taylor who has been a classical school headmaster for 20 years. They have two sons, Josiah and Samuel, who both attend Covenant College. Their daughter, Abigail, is a recent high school graduate.
Sandra Ward has been teaching second grade at Veritas Academy in Savannah, Georgia, for the past sixteen years. She attended Armstrong State University in Savannah, and was a fashion merchandise buyer for Belk Department Stores. Sandra is a member and past president of PEO, a national philanthropic organization for women’s education. She and her husband have two grown children.
