Summary
Riffing on Stan Hauerwas’ essay with a similar title, this workshop will discuss how to enlist parents and students to see that we are fighting a war NOT against Democrats, Republicans, the “Left,” etc , but against the “world, flesh, and the Devil.” Implicit to this workshop’s main point is that the conventional ñendsî of schooling aren’t nearly weighty, substantial, or God-centered enough. As the cultural antithesis grows, the classical and Christian school administrator, teacher, parent, and student has even greater reason to rejoice and press on into battle.
