2018 Workshop Talk | 1:02:19 | 7-12, Logic
Summary
This workshop aims to share the importance of hiding God’s word in the heart of the child, explains how to integrate God’s word into every subject you teach, especially the humanities, and will show you how to inspire your students to not just read God’s word, but to fall in love with it! Through this workshop we will discover how God’s word can come alive in your classroom through projects, study tools and reading. God’s word is essential to the life of a child and their knowledge of it determines their future–for it teaches them who God is and it creates their worldview! The best gift we can give our students is a love and knowledge for God and His Word!
Speaker
Brenda McClure serves alongside her husband, Michael, as he pastors Calvary San Jose. Brenda helped her husband start Calvary Christian Academy in San Jose, CA, eight years ago. Amongst her many roles at CCA, her favorite is teaching the seventh grade humanities! Brenda earned her BA in history from San Jose State University. She has many passions, but amongst her greatest is teaching and inspiring the next generation to know and love God. She has been married to her husband, Michael, for 22 years, and they have seven children: Daniel, Micah, Joshua, Samuel, Hannah, Abigail & Ruth—six attend CCA! In her free time, Brenda enjoys attending and teaching women’s Bible studies, going on walks and coffee dates with her husband, cooking for her family, reading and spending time in God’s word, and spending time with her precious children.
