Summary

Does kindergarten through second grade really matter? Absolutely! It not only is your parents’ introduction to your school and classical Christian education, but the foundational blocks for the rest of the grades. During these pre-polly years (K through 2), students must gain the foundational skills necessary for success with the Trivium. Phonics (reading and spelling), penmanship, and mathematics need to be the focus of these early years with time devoted to the age appropriate repetition and drill that will achieve confident mastery.
