Summary


This presentation will help both administrators and teachers think through the important role classroom and hallway d_cor plays in the overall education. The presentation will offer a basic philosophical framework, consider sample policy, and provide a path toward the implementation of a school aesthetic that aligns with the classical Christian approach to education.

Speaker


Casey Shutt (PhD, Durham University) is assistant headmaster at The Academy of Classical Christian Studies in Oklahoma City, OK. Previously, Dr. Shutt was headmaster at Morning Star Academy in Bettendorf, Iowa. He has taught in both the university and K_12 school settings as well as served in a number of churches. Dr. Shutt owns Mindhenge Artifacts, a company promoting education that stands the test of time. He has published articles, papers and reviews in a number of publications, including PrincetonÍs Faith and Work Initiative, Christian ScholarÍs Review, and Christian Education Journal.
