Summary

Hiring a head of school is the board of directors’ most important responsibility. Handing this process thoughtfully and carefully should be a priority. Ed and Laura will share their wisdom from over 25 head-of-school searches on these topics: selecting a search committee, creating an opportunity profile, sourcing candidates, how to handle internal candidates, interviewing finalists, determining best fit, making the offer, the role of the board, and other topics.
