2012 Workshop Talk | 0:59:25 | All Grade Levels, Virtue, Character, Discipline
Summary
One of the most important goals of literature class is to awaken students’ understanding of who they are, what the world is, and the moral obligations they have in it. While many genres of literature can stimulate moral imagination, fairy tales are especially well suited to this task. This workshop discusses the philosophy and techniques for using fairy tales to awaken the moral imagination.
