Cary Christian School goes out of their way to make new families feel welcome. Their admissions packet contains many documents including a school magnet and a copy of Doug Wilson’s book Recovering the Lost Tools of Learning.

In addition to the packet, Cary includes information about their weekly newsletter sent every Thursday at 3:00.

They invite new families to join their CCS Google Group forum which families and staff used to communicate about anything from uniforms for sale, to babysitters needed, to recommendations for a doctor.

They provide information about Academic and Recreational Summer Camps hosted at CCS to assist students in areas where they need more instruction and provide an opportunity to make friends before the first day of school.

New families are also assigned a Champion Family, which is a current CCS family who has students in the same grade as the new family. Champion Families reach out to new families, usually arrange a social gathering with them prior to the first day of school and come alongside the new family to answer questions and walk them through the newness of CCS.

They also have a group of parents and administration that organizes monthly gatherings for new parents to get to know each other.
