Description: If the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever, the chief end of education must follow suit. The classroom’s primary purpose therefore is to train students to worship God in all things and strengthen their allegiance to Christ as central components of the learning process.
In “Paradiso,” the third and final part of Dante’s magisterial poem, he gives us a brilliant and beautiful series of images and actions that demonstrate for us what this kind of Christocentric teaching looks like.
This webinar will focus on several key passages from “Paradiso” to unpack the nature of Christian education as well as give us as educators a model to imitate.
You will be encouraged to know and love Jesus through the things He has made, and, we trust, the figure of Beatrice, as drawn by Dante, will prove helpful in shaping our own role as teachers and administrators, leading students to that deeper love of Christ.
