Summary
The study of mathematics is the study of deductive truth. Mathematicians almost unanimously describe their work as beautiful. This talk would explore historical perspectives on the truth and beauty of mathematics and how truth and beauty can be uniquely focused on in the classical Christian mathematics classroom.
Speaker
Dale Siegenthaler is assistant professor of mathematics at Cairn University near Philadelphia, PA. He holds as BS in Bible and a BS in mathematics education from Cairn University and a MA in mathematics from West Chester University. Prior to teaching at Cairn, Dale taught mathematics at Veritas Academy in Leola, PA for 13 years.
